Which government
employees are deemed to be transferable?
Ans. An employee who has
been transferred at least once in a the preceding 7 years by
a competent authority to a distance of at least 20 kms. |

- What is the eligible age
of a child for admission to class 1?
Ans. A child be 5 years of
age on 31st march in the academic year in which
admission is being sought. |

- Is there a admission test
conducted for the admission to class 1?
Ans. There is no admission
test conducted for the admission to class 1. |

- What is the criteria for
admission to a child with valid KV TC at any time during
academic session?
Ans. A child with valid KV TC
could be granted admission automatically only if the parent
has been transferred by central government or state
government from the station where the child was earlier
studying to the station where admission is being sought and
the transfer involves the change of station. Admission on KV
TC up to the class strength 40 will be allowed at the level
of principal. |

- Whether TC issued by
school other than KV be treated at par with KV TC?
Ans. Only in case of Armed
Forces personnel, TC issued by CBSE schools of defence
ministry / deptts / Authorities will be treated at par with
KV TC. These TCs will be endorsed by the Asst. Commissioner
of the region where admission is being sought. |

- Whether the registration
of a child a in one kendriya vidylaya can be considered
for the admission in other kendriya vidyalaya?
Ans. Only in case of class 1,
where a child is registered but before the declaration of
result his parent is transferred to another station, the
child should be deemed to have been registered for the
admission in the kendriya vidyalaya at the station of
posting of the parent even the last date of admission at
that place has expired. |

- If the child qualifies
the entrance test for admission to a particular class, but
fails to produce school transfer certificate of the
previous school attended , admission may be granted or
not?
Ans. Admission upto class 5
may be granted without any school transfer certificate of
previous school attended provided the child is otherwise
eligible and his birth certificate has been issued by the
competent govt. body. |

- For SC and ST candidates
seeking admission, the certificate of their parents can be
considered for the reservations of their child?
Ans. For SC and ST
candidates a certificate in respect of either of their
parents may be accepted initially for the purpose of
admission, if this certificate is not available for the
child. |

- What are the special
provisions for the admission of girl children?
Ans. For class 1, if there
are single female children left among unsuccessful
applicants, upto two female single children can be admitted
over the above sanctioned strength in each section of class
1. For admissions in class VI onwards, single girl child of
parents of categories I to VI who qualify the admission
test but did not get admission due to their low rank in
admission test, may be admitted up to a two girls per class,
over the above sanctioned strength. |

- Is there any special
provision for the grand children of defence personals?
Ans. No, there is no such
special provision. Grand children of KVS employees and that
of Honourable members of parliament can be given admission
under special provision. |

- If a physically
challenged candidate fails to produce certificate from
competent authority at the time of admission. Is he
eligible to get the benefit of reservations for physically
challenged?
Ans. In case the handicap of
the child is visible seen by the principal, the child may be
accepted as the physically challenged even without a
certificate. However , the parent may be advised to obtain
the certificate in stipulated time. |
